Library Room Booking Services
Whether you are conducting research, preparing for an exam, working on a group project, or participating in academic discussions, the UM Library provides a variety of study rooms and discussion rooms to support your needs. A total of 49 rooms are available for booking by UM staff and full-time students, equipped with TVs, projectors, and monitors to facilitate study, collaboration, and presentations.
Reservations and usage must follow the official “Rules for Booking and Using Library Study Rooms.” For reservation, please use the online room booking system or make it in person at the Library I.T. Services Counter (G020).

Individual Study Rooms and Group Discussion Rooms are available on all library opening days from 09:00 to 24:00.

Check-in Procedures

Users must check in before using any room. Swipe your campus card at the door card reader.

Check-in is permitted only within 20 minutes of the reservation start time; late check in results in automatic cancellation and a violation record.
Extension
-
The booking quotas are released 30 minutes before the end of each session, allowing users to make a new reservation to continue using the room.
End of Use

Users must leave self check rooms directly.
Violations and Penalties

Each user has a credit score of 500 points per semester, which are automatically reset at the beginning of each new semester;
-
Violations such as no show or failure to return the room on time will lead to credit deduction and temporary suspension of booking privileges.

User Regulations
- Code of Conduct: Smoking, eating, drinking, sleeping, and shouting are strictly prohibited.
- Facilities: Handle all equipment with care. Report any pre-existing damage to the I.T. Service counter immediately.
- Electrical Safety: Private high-power electrical appliances are prohibited.
- Leaving: : Ensure lights, air conditioning, and appliances are turned off; keep the room clean, take all personal items and restore furniture to its original position.
