3D Printing Service
The Library provides 3D printing services to all UM
students, faculty, and staff.
Printer Specifications
- Filament: PLA
- Maximum
print size: 220 × 200 × 250 mm
- Layer
resolution (fineness): 0.1 – 0.4 mm
- Nozzle
diameter: 0.4 mm (default); 0.3 mm / 0.6 mm (optional)
- Accepted
file format: STL
Usage Rules
- Eligibility: All
UM students, faculty, and staff
- Quota: 1
submission per person per month
- Print
allowance: 1 model per submission
- Color: Single-color
(monochrome) only
- Fee: Free
How to Submit a Print Request
- Prepare
your 3D model in STL format.
- Submit
your file either:
- In
person at the IT Service Counter, or
- By
email to lib_sit@um.edu.mo.
- Library
staff will review your file and confirm print settings (size, layer
density, thickness, etc.) with you.
- Printing
is processed on a first-come, first-served basis. You will be
notified of the estimated pickup time once your print is scheduled.
Important Notes
- The
Library reserves the right to refuse requests that:
- Infringe
on copyright or intellectual property,
- Are
incomplete or unsuitable for printing, or
- Do
not comply with the above specifications.
- The
Library reserves the right of final interpretation of the above rules.
