Teaching staff can reserve course materials including specified books, articles, and other resources in the library for convenient student access.

  • Location: G/F Circulation Counter (Borrowing Desk) (Closed-shelves)
  • Access: Students must request the materials at the Circulation Counter (Borrowing Desk) within Counter Service Hours.
  • Loan Period: Materials may be used within the library for up to 3 hours per session.
  • Loan Limit: Up to 3 items at a time.

Faculty members or students can search for course materials and references by course code, course title, or faculty name using the Library catalog BoQuest.

How to Apply

To set up or update your list of Reserved Materials, please complete the “Library Reserved Book Request Form” or contact the Library’s Circulation Counter for assistance.

Types of Materials Accepted

  • Existing print holdings in the Library (e.g. course textbooks, reference books)
  • Library-purchased e-books or subscribed e-journal articles
  • Faculty member-owned materials (e.g. personal copies, supplementary materials) — submissions are welcome
