The conference was guided by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and hosted by the Library Society of China and the Yulin Municipal People's Government, with support from the National Library of China and the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. The theme was “High-Quality Development: The Future of China’s Library Undertaking.” The event included an opening ceremony, closing ceremony, a main forum, 28 subforums, a library exhibition, and a series of cultural events such as “Library People’s Night.” Over 3,000 library professionals from across provinces, municipalities, and the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions, as well as representatives from Hungary, South Korea, Singapore, and the United States, participated in the event, engaging in lively discussions on topics such as artificial intelligence and library development, reading promotion, and print reading in the digital age. The exhibition focused on areas such as smart library systems, ancient book preservation, and library equipment, covering an area of 15,000 square meters and featuring over 80 exhibiting companies and institutions.
