Launch of the Newly Upgraded University of Macau Library Website (2025-09-01)

Dear Faculty, Students, and Staff,

To provide a more user-friendly, convenient, and comprehensive range of library resources and services, the University Library is thrilled to announce the launch of our upgraded website in both Chinese and English versions. The Portuguese version will be upgraded soon.

Designed with a user-centered approach, the new website caters to the needs of all university members and community users. It features a streamlined interface and enhanced functionality, allowing you to access resources seamlessly from computers, mobile devices, or other equipment.

Key enhancements include:

• Our search system is now proudly named “BoQuest （博尋）“: This unique name embodies the spirit of “Broad Learning and Boundless Quest,” reflecting our university’s commitment to liberal arts education and endless intellectual exploration. It integrates the Library’s physical collections, digital resources, subscribed e-resources, and shared materials from cooperative initiatives such as the Macao Academic Library Alliance (MALA) and the Academic Library Alliance for Portuguese-Language Resources (ABAMA), offering a one-stop platform for all your academic needs.
• Redesigned Website Structure: Content is now organized into six intuitive sections—
  • Search & Find: Explore and locate various library collections.
  • Using The Library: Access services, facilities, equipment, and room bookings.
  • Learning Support: Find learning resources, tools, and information literacy training for students.
  • Teaching/Research Support: Discover resources and support services tailored for faculty and researchers.
  • Events & News: Stay updated with the latest events, news, and announcements.
  • About Us: Learn more about the Library’s profile, structure, and contact information.
