2025 Textbook and Academic Book Fair (2025-08-20)
The 2025 Textbook and Academic Book Fair was held at the University of Macau Library from 18 to 20 August 2025. The book fair was co-organized by the University of Macau Library and the Plaza Cultural Macau. It aimed to promote academic publications, encourage local academic exchanges, and make acquiring latest textbooks and academic books from renowned publishers easier for students and readers in Macau.
The opening ceremony was held in the morning of 18 August 2025. The officiating guests included Dr. Raymond Wong (Acting University Librarian of UM Library), Dr. Henry Yang (Functional Head of UM Library), and Mr. Chan U Ion (General Manager of Plaza Cultural Macau), and more than ten representatives of exhibitors from all over the world. The book fair was supported by many well-known publishers and booksellers around the world, such as Bloomsbury Publishing, Cambridge University Press, Cengage Learning, Clarivate, EBSCO Information Service, Elsevier, GOBI Library Solution from EBSCO, John Wiley and Sons, Institution of Engineering and Technology, McGraw-Hill, Pearson, Sage, Springer, Taylor & Francis, World Scientific, Sino United Electronic Publishing Limited, etc. More than 2,000 kinds of books were exhibited, which included print and electronic textbooks and academic books.
