Disclosed for the first time is the use of orlistat, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, for the prevention and/or treatment of kidney injury. In vitro cellular experiments demonstrated that orlistat significantly inhibited cisplatin-induced toxicity in renal tubular epithelial cells, suppressed DNA damage, reduced reactive oxygen species production, alleviated endoplasmic reticulum stress, and inhibited apoptosis. Animal studies showed that orlistat significantly mitigated cisplatin-induced toxicity in mice, improved survival rates, restored body weight, ameliorated renal pathological damage, inhibited the secretion of inflammatory factors, reduced serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen levels, and reversed electrolyte disturbances. Notably, orlistat did not affect the antitumor efficacy of cisplatin either at the cellular level or in tumor-bearing mice. Furthermore, its protective effect against cisplatin-induced kidney injury was superior to that of amifostine, currently the only drug used clinically for this purpose.

The invention discloses a foamed concrete, as well as its preparation method and applications. The foamed concrete comprises a cementitious material and a foam. The cementitious material comprises cement, hollow glass microspheres, and water. The foam is produced by foaming a foaming-agent composition comprising surface-hydrophilically modified nanoparticles, a surfactant, a modifier, and water. The invention employs a foaming-agent composition containing pretreated nanoparticles to generate a stable, low-cost foam. The use of this foam in combination with hollow glass microspheres improves the performance of the foamed concrete and effectively increases its compressive strength, thereby offering broad prospects for commercial application.

The present invention relates to the field of pharmaceutical technology and discloses a celastrol-shikonin-iron self-assembled nanocomposite, a preparation method thereof, and its use in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer. The invention innovatively demonstrates that celastrol and shikonin, two active compounds derived from traditional Chinese medicine, undergo supramolecular self-assembly through coordination with Fe³⁺ to form carrier-free nanoparticles, which are subsequently modified with a targeting ligand to obtain the nanocomposite. The nanocomposite exhibits excellent dispersibility in aqueous solutions. It enables passive tumor targeting through the enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect and active targeting through modification with the targeting ligand, thereby significantly enhancing drug accumulation and therapeutic efficacy at non-small cell lung cancer tumor sites.

A non-cathode indium-iodine battery with high reversibility and no capacity attenuation and its application

The present invention discloses a highly reversible, capacity-fade-free anode-free indium-iodine battery and its applications, relating to the technical field of new energy materials. The battery comprises an anode current collector, an electrolyte, a separator, a cathode, and a cathode current collector. The electrolyte is an aqueous electrolyte containing a soluble indium salt. In the present invention, indium ions are used in place of conventional zinc ions. The indium ions undergo highly reversible deposition and dissolution on the anode current collector without dendrite formation during cycling, thereby significantly improving anode reversibility, effectively extending the service life of the battery, and achieving excellent cycling performance with no capacity decay. Furthermore, the anode-free design means that the anode current collector does not contain a metallic indium layer in its initial state. This substantially reduces the volume and weight of the battery, significantly simplifies the manufacturing process, and enhances its value for practical applications.
