This workshop provides an introduction to the retrieval and use of the Library's legal resources and databases, including HeinOnline, PKU Law, Lawyee, and LawBank. (Note: This workshop will be conducted in Mandarin Chinese.)

EndNote 2025 is a trusted reference management software used by research institutions worldwide. The desktop version supports both Windows and Mac and allows seamless synchronization of research data via an EndNote online account. This course begins with the fundamentals, guiding participants to build a personal reference library. Students will learn to import references directly from databases such as the library discovery system BoQuest, Web of Science, and Google Scholar, as well as batch-import PDFs with automatic metadata extraction to generate complete bibliographic records. The course also covers mastering the built-in PDF reader—including highlighting, annotations, note-taking, and the new Cite from PDF feature.
In the writing phase, students will learn to use EndNote 2025’s Cite While You Write plugin within Microsoft Word to insert citations while writing. They will also utilize the software’s library of over 7,500 journal styles to instantly switch citation formats and automatically generate reference lists.
Additionally, the course will introduce EndNote 2025’s AI capabilities: the Research Assistant enables users to interact with their documents, while the Key Takeaways feature provides one-click summarization of key insights.

這個教學分為兩個部份，首先介紹圖書館的館藏和免費的線上資源，接下來介紹不同AI的簡單應用，以葡語為例，引導讀者如何利用這些資源學習外語。

Outline:
This beginner-friendly session is designed to help you quickly get up to speed with EndNote. You’ll learn how to install the software, import references from various sources, and use EndNote to manage and cite your references efficiently when writing reports or academic papers. By the end of the session, you’ll be able to navigate EndNote with confidence and integrate it smoothly into your research workflow.
