Individual Visits
- Visitors (5 or fewer) may enter the library by individually registering their name and contact phone number at the front desk.
- All visitors are expected to adhere to the rules and regulations of the University of Macau and the Library.
- The Library reserves the right to deny entry to anyone who does not comply with these regulations.
Group Visits & Guided Tours
To help more people learn about our resources and services, the Library offers free guided tours for groups of six or more. We welcome applications from schools, organizations, and other groups.
1. Tour Times:
- Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays): 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM & 2:00 PM - 5:30 PM.
- Other times: We can arrange tours at alternative times based on the nature of the group; please inquire in advance.
2. Tour Duration: Approximately 30 minutes, led by a Library staff.
3. Application Process:
- Please submit the application to us via email (lib_ref@um.edu.mo ) at least two weeks prior to your desired visit date.
- The Library will respond with confirmation via phone or email upon receipt of your application.
- Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
4. Cancellation & Changes:
- Please notify the Library at least two days in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your tour.
- Groups that are absent without notice on two or more occasions within the same year will no longer be eligible to apply for tours.
5. Important Notes:
- The maximum group size for a tour is 30 people. If your group is larger, we can arrange multiple tours or adjust the schedule.
- Please ensure all group members leave the Library at the conclusion of the tour. If you wish to use Library resources, please register for a library card according to the Library’s regulations.
- Please remind group members to observe Library etiquette, maintain a quiet environment, and respect our resources.
Helpful Reminders:
- To ensure a pleasant environment for all, access to the Library may be limited when the number of "CURRENT USERS IN LIBRARY" in Library reaches 400. Please cooperate with Library staff instructions.
- Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Each adult may accompany a maximum of two children.
- To maintain order within the Library, please refrain from loud conversations, running, and disruptive behavior. Please set your mobile phones to silent or vibrate mode.
- Please note that we do not accept tour requests from commercial travel groups.
