該系統受到國家社會科學基金重大項目“基于大數據技術的古代文學經典文本分析與研究”資助。採用自建搜索引擎，可檢索世界各大古籍館藏機構公開影像共17萬種（約13.7萬部又3.3萬册）。此系統作爲“數字文獻學”核心基礎設施，免費提供給學界人士和民眾愛好者使用。檢索結果提供古籍全文閱讀鏈結 (全文影像要視乎古籍來源的平台而定)。
